Rob Zombie's "Halloween" remake topped the box office this past weekend. Michael Myers killed at the box office, raking in $31 million through Monday. The film's opening numbers from Friday through Sunday were the biggest in the series' history. Last week's number one film, the hit comedy "Superbad" dropped to the number two spot, earning $15.6 million in its third week of release. The ping pong comedy "Balls of Fury" debuted in third with $14.3 million. The latest in Matt Damon's "Bourne" trilogy, "The Bourne Ultimatum," is still going strong, coming in fourth and earning $13.2 million after five weeks of release. Another part of a trilogy, "Rush Hour 3" came in at number five making $10.4 million through Monday. "Mr. Bean's Holiday" and "The Nanny Diaries" were at six and seven. Kevin Bacon's latest, the crime drama "Death Sentence," debuted in the eighth spot. "War" and "Stardust" rounded out the holiday weekend's top ten films.
