In the hit movie that has grossed $17 million in ticket sales so far, Adams plays an animated princess banished by an evil queen (played by Sarandon) from her world. The princess is magically transported to the real world of New York City where she falls in love with a single father played by Patrick Dempsey. "Enchanted" is this year's third movie to be the number one film two weeks in a row for Disney. "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" and "The Game Plan" are the other two top films that have positioned Disney as the third studio in U.S. ticket sales for the year, earning a total of $1.25 billion. Time Warner Inc. is the number one studio with $1.66 billion in total ticket sales.
