2/29/2008 in Lohan admits that she had a problem but she's ready to start acting again. Mallory Groff Lindsay Lohan has figured out why she had a substance abuse problem and spent most of the summer in rehab. According To TransWorld News and IMDB, Lohan believe it was a mixture of being overworked and family problems. She said, "I had a lot going on in my life and that was a way of hiding from it. I hadn't seen my dad; I had a lit of work stress ... Everything was go-go-go, and the easiest thing was to run away from it, going out and drinking at night." Lohan's father, who became a preacher while he was in spent time in jail for a DUI charge, visited the troubled actress while she was in rehab over the summer. He has said that Lindsay is "back on track." Lohan has also taken time off of work and is now waiting for the right projects. She is ready to get back in the acting game. She says, "Right now I just want to find a great script, a great role." The 21-year-old seems like she now knows acting is what she wants to do. She also said, "I was so used to working and working and working, and for a good few months there was nothing for me to do. Now I know what it's like to be an out-of-work actor, and how much it scares me." This time she should have a better idea of when too much work is too much.
