Tina Fey's new movie will open Tribeca Film Fest.

Former *Saturday Night Live* writer and performer, Tina Fey's new film entitled *Baby Mama*, is set to open the Tribeca Film Festival on April 23, marking the film's world premiere.  
  
Tina Fey and current *SNL* cast member, Amy Poehler, star in the film which was produced by Lorne Michaels, creator of the popular sketch comedy show. The film was written and directed by Michael McCullers, a previous *SNL* writer.  
  
Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal founded the Tribeca Film Festival to help the lower Manhattan community after Sept. 11, according to the Associated Press. Rosenthal said *Baby Mama* will be a perfect introduction to the festival because it reflects the festival's loyalty to New York City by featuring the city's most creative and well-liked talent.  
  
The festival, enjoying its seventh year, will run through May 4.
