Nick Lachey Returns to Small Screen

Nick Lachey is returning to the small screen, but this time he is staying behind the lens.  
  
According to *The Hollywood Reporter*, the former *Newlyweds* star is executive producing an unscripted reality show for MTV.  
  
The show, whose working title is *Celebrity Music Mentor Project*, is described as a reality show version of *Fame* and will focus on students at the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio.  
  
An executive VP of series development and programming at MTV told the magazine that the show will be similar to MTV's *Laguna Beach*, adding, "The stories and relationships are all set to music that's organic to what's going on in the school and also performed by the kids. This is a genre-busting, creative experiment that I'm really excited about."
