Prince is reportedly receiving 5 million dollars to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Art's Festival.

Prince will be performing at the Coachella festival in California later this month. And according to Reuters this will be his first ever festival performance in the US.  
  
The artist who was once a symbol/the artist formally known as Prince will headline the festival's Saturday program on the 26th. It is thought that Prince was added to help boost ticket sales.  
  
Madonna was a in a similar position as Prince a few years ago when Coachella added her name to their performers only a few weeks before the show. However unlike Madonna, Prince is supposed to play a full show not just a few songs. It also seems that Prince will be paid almost $5 million for his one performance at the festival.  
  
Other headliners include Jack Johnson on Friday and Roger Waters on Sunday. Coachella is an annual arts and music festival held in Indio, Calif., that mixes arts and a bunch of music genres. Coachella began in 1999 but this will only be the ninth year because there was no festival in 2000.
