Nicole Cassaro Heath Ledger, beloved actor from movies such as *Ten Things I Hate About You*, *A Knight's Tale*, *The Patriot*, and *Brokeback Mountain*, shocked the world with his death this past January. At the age of 28, the Academy Award nominated actor was found dead in his New York apartment. Ledger's death was surely a loss to the cinematic world, as he had just completed filming his role as the villainous Joker in the new Batman film, *The Dark Knight*. *The Dark Knight* also stars Christian Bale as Batman, as well as Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart and Maggie Gyllenhaal. It is set to open July 18. It is also set to honor the star whose death shocked many. Heath Ledger will receive a special tribute at the end of his Batman film, *The Dark Knight*. Also acknowledged in the film will be the special effects technician, Comway Wickliffe, who was killed last September in a stunt-car accident. The special tribute comes in the form of a send off message at the end of the credits. This message reads, "In memory of our friends Heath Ledger & Comway Wickliffe." The new Batman film is highly anticipated, as is Ledger's performance as the movie's villain. Though seeing Ledger in films is bittersweet, because it was such a sudden and unexpected death and he is dearly missed, his roles will keep his memory alive.
