Alan Panettiere, the father of *Heroes* teen star Hayden Panettiere, was arrested Monday morning for allegedly striking his wife during an argument.  
  
The fight reportedly occured after the couple attended a party.  
  
Sgt. Scott Wolf, a spokesman for the West Hollywood Sheriff's Department, said that Alan, 49, got into a fight with Lesley, 52, at around 3 a.m. and hit her twice on the left cheek two times with a closed fist.  
  
Lesley then called the police, and then the authorities arrived and hauled Alan away after noticing the bruises and redmarks on her face.  
  
At this point, there's no word if Hayden, 18, or her brother, Jensen, were present when the alleged altercation happened.  
  
Alan is currently being held on $50,000 bail.
