Pop star Rihanna was chosen for her "sugar and spice" style and "sophisticated mix of glamorous gowns and funky dresses." Fergie has come "a long way from her belly-baring days," *People* said, while Gwyneth Paltrow is "better than ever" after "revving up her classic look." *People Magazine* also praised the actress for shortening her long hair and hemlines for shorter skirts. Actress Anne Hathaway, who has been in the media spotlight this year for the arrest of her conman ex-boyfriend, was dubbed "young and glam" for her fashion picks. Michelle Obama, the wife of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, made the list as she "wowed along the campaign trail with confidence in polished looks" reminiscent of famous former first ladies, the magazine said. The list also included actresses Kate Hudson for her "haute hippie, effortless taste," Eva Mendes for her "pretty and polished" style, Charlize Theron for her "bold and beautiful" choices and Sarah Jessica Parker for her "expert eclectic look."
