The "How I Met Your Mother" star revealed she is expecting a child in the spring.

Actress Alyson Hannigan announced she is pregnant and expecting a child in the spring, according to People magazine.  
  
The 34-year-old actress and her 42-year-old husband, Alexis Denisof, met on the set of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" during the 1999-2000 season. The couple was married at the Two Bunch Palms Resort near Palm Springs, Calif., on Oct. 11, 2003.  
  
Hannigan's rep did not release the gender of the baby. This will be the first child for the couple.  
  
Hannigan currently stars on the show, "How I Met Your Mother," alongside Neil Patrick Harris. Reps for the actress did not say if her pregnancy would be written into the storyline.  
  
Hannigan's past credits includes her role on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and her role as the band geek opposite Jason Biggs in the "American Pie" trilogy.
