Rumors have been circulating that Efron will be starring in "Pirates of the Carribean 4."

High School Musical star Zac Efron has recently denied reports he is set to star in the fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, although he claims that it would be "awesome."  
  
Although rumors circulated after due to tabloid reports last week that 21-year-old Efron would be eventually be made to take over Johnny Depp's role in the Disney Franchise, Efron has denied the reports. "Honestly, at this time it's just a rumor," Efron told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show in Los Angeles Wednesday morning. However, according to MTV News, the Hollywood heartthrob would love the idea to be in the film. "I wish I was going to be in 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4,' so hopefully that will happen for me," Efron said adamantly, before adding, "I didn't know anything about that, \[But\] cross your fingers for me guys!"
