Rapper Akon admitted in court today that he did throw a fan offstage last year.

Rap and hip-hop singer Akon has pled guilty in New York court to allegations that in 2007, he purposely threw a teenager off a stage during a concert. Akon reportedly threw the fan off the stage after the 15-year-old reportedly threw something onstage.  
  
At least part of the incident was taped. In court this week, Akon came to a lenient plea deal: So long as he serves over 60 hours of community service and pays a nominal fee, he will not have to spend any time behind bars. Luckily, no one was killed at the 2007 concert.
