1/23/2009 in Eric McCormack and Tom Cavanagh return to television for a new TNT drama. Alyssa Marcus Eric McCormack and Tom Cavanagh are best known for *Will and Grace* and *Ed*, respectively, but they're hoping that new sides of them will be revealed in their new drama on TNT, *Trust Me*. According to *Entertainment Weekly*, the two characters are best friends and partners at an advertising agency in Chicago. They enjoy giving each other a hard time, especially after McCormack's character gets a promotion that turns him into Cavanagh's character's boss. Both men are quick to dismiss comparisons to the hit AMC show, *Mad Men*. In an interview with the *Washington Post*, McCormack says that the two shows are "almost like bookends" in that *Mad Men* is about the best time in advertising history while *Trust Me* is about the end. Viewers can expect aspects of the show to be realistic, as *USA Today* reports that executive producers and creators, Hunt Baldwin and John Coveny, worked as advertisers in Chicago for a combined 20 years. The show premieres this Monday, Jan. 26.
