2/11/2009 in Former member of Danity Kane looks to photgrapher Markus Klinko for "iconic" photo shoot. Stephanie DeLuca Former member of Danity Kane, Aubrey O'Day, will be back in the spotlight after posing for Playboy. Photographer Markus Klinko shot the spread with O'Day in November and the issue hits newsstands on Friday. O'Day never went into depth about the photo shoot until now. "You could never imagine how empowering it is to be nude in front of the cameras and have people looking at you in that way and seeing you as beautiful," she told MTV News. "You're seeing yourself as beautiful. I mean, a lot of times I think I'm seen as a bad girl, and I think that's because I'm so open." The main reason why O'Day has agreed to do the shoot in the first place is because the magazine made Klinko available. The well renowned photographer shot the likes of Mariah Carey, Pamela Anderson, and Beyonce. O'Day believed he would make the photo shoot memorable. "I only agreed to do it because \[Markus\] was shooting it," she told MTV News. "He is unbelievably amazing. He agreed with me that we needed to do something classy, iconic and truly beautiful. I mean, I think a lot of the type of way I'm portrayed in the media isn't always the way I am in my heart. And I think that we were able to capture that with \[this shoot\]." She emphasized to MTV News that the shoot is going to be beautiful and iconic. O'Day is very excited on how the shoot went and how great it was to show everyone she's comfortable with her sexuality. "I think in society we tend to put ourselves in boxes and corners and restrict ourselves, and we constantly feel the need to not say this or not wear this ... and taking it all off and being nude is the most natural state that you can be in." Although there might be people who disagree with posing for Playboy, she doesn't care. O'Day claims she is always true to herself. "I think people are scared to be who they are, and if anybody's gonna go out there and let everybody know, 'Be who you are ... no judgment here,' it's gonna be me."
