2/16/2009 in The star of the USA Network's smash original spy series, "Burn Notice," Jeffrey Donovan is being rewarded for his work by receiving a hefty salary increase which is included in his new deal with Fox TV Studios. Sari N. Kent Jeffrey Donovan, the star of the USA Network's original hit series "Burn Notice" has renegotiated his contract with the series' producer, Fox TV Studios. According to an article in The Hollywood Reporter, "Under the new agreement, Donovan will be paid $125,000-$150,000 an episode, a big bump from the $55,00 he used to make…Donovan's new deal also adds one year to his original seven-year contract for the show…"Burn Notice" is the top cable drama series among 18-49. Donovan is repped by Paradigm'" "Burn Notice" has Donovan playing the lead role of Michael Westen. A blacklisted former spy aiding people in trouble all the while trying to uncover the people who "burned" him. The Hollywood Reporter article touts how "Burn Notice" has upped his Hollywood status compared to his previous roles, "It has become a star-making role for Donovan, who before that top-lined USA's short-lived series "Touching Evil." He went on to co-star in Clint Eastwood's Changeling." The rest of the cast is comprised of Gabrielle Anwar, who plays Fiona Glenanne, a former girlfriend of Michael's who can always be counted on to Michael when he's in trouble. Bruce Campbell plays Sam Axe. Axe is a former Navy Seal and Military Intel Operative and has worked with Michael on lobs before. Now he spends his days sipping on Mojitos in the Miami sun. Michael knows he can always rely on Axe's contacts for help when he's in a jam. Sharon Gless plays Michael's obsessive mother, Madeline Westen. She lives in their family home and is always devising ways to heal the rift between Michael and his brother, Nate. She also spends her time sending Michael clients who are in desperate need of his services. Tricia Helfer plays Carla, at least what Michael calls her. She has a sultry voice while her motives and background remain a mystery. All Michael knows for sure about her is that is if has any hope of getting his life back, he needs to learn more about her and fast. Finally, Seth Peterson plays. Michael's younger, always down-on-his-luck brother Nate. Nate is a gambler and tends to wager property that he doesn't own. Nate has never forgotten how Michael left him to join Army thus leaving Nate to deal with their abusive father. Yet, somehow they have managed to form a common ground in order to make their Madeline happy. Nate does know that whenever he is in over his head its Michael who will back him up.
