According to reports from both *Us Weekly* and *People*, actors Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox have decided to call off their engagement. The source for *Us Weekly* claims that the split was "amicable" and that their careers are to blame. The couple of nearly five years (they met in 2004 and were engaged in 2006) reportedly remain friends. There seemed to be some tension between the two this past weekend when the 22-year-old *Transformers* actress showed up at an Oscar pre-party and the Academy Awards sans her fiance. When asked on the red carpet by Giuliana Rancic of E!, if Green had accompanied her to the Oscars, she said, "He doesn't want to be here . . . he doesn't want to be my date. He's a man. He has an ego." In response to whether or not the 35-year-old former *Beverly Hills, 90210* star would be watching, Fox replied, "I think he's probably working on music. I don't think he cares." Both Fox and Green are using the time off from each other to concentrate on their careers. This summer, Fox will hit the big screen once again as Mikaela Banes in the *Transformers* sequel, entitled *Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen*. Green currently stars as Derek Reese on the Fox series *Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles*.
