Andrew Randall According to the *New York Daily News*, Richard Dean Anderson could possibly reprise the role of MacGyver on the silver screen. Executive Producer Rafaella de Laurentiis, the daughter of Dino de Laurentiis, plans on reviving the '80s TV show and making it into a feature film. "We think we're a stick of chewing gum, a paper clip and an A-list writer away from a global franchise," said New Line's Richard Brener of the project. The show last aired in 1992 and starred Anderson as a secret agent who could get out of tight situations by manufacturing gadgets out of almost anything. Recently the show has been parodied on *Saturday Night Live* by Will Forte's character, MacGruber. Anderson has made guest appearances in several of these sketches. Currently, there is no writer signed to the project.
