The Red Hot Chili Peppers singer spoke recently about his toddler son and future plans.

According to *People*, Red Hot Chili Peppers front man Anthony Kiedis, 46, is enjoying life living with his young son.  
  
His son, named Everly Bear, is 18 months old. His mother is Kiedis's girlfriend, model and photographer Heather Christie.  
  
Kiedis said, "He's the little love of my life, that boy, and I feel very lucky to be his dad."  
  
Kiedis spoke about life with his son at the opening of shops at the Malibu Lumber Yard. Kiedis and Christie both attended the event.  
  
Kiedis continued, "You can't really care about yourself as much as you used to. It kind of takes the focus off yourself, which for me is a good thing. It also gives me a cool guy to hang out with."  
  
Future plans for Kiedis include writing music, surfing, and shooting a pilot for an HBO series titled, *Spider and Son*. The show is drawn from Kiedis's life with his father, Spider, who moved the family to West Hollywood from Michigan in the 1970s and dropped them into a rock-and-roll life.  
  
Kiedis also said of his son, "\[Everly\] is the best roommate I ever had. He's just a good hang. He's funny. He doesn't cost a lot to keep up. He's a good dancer."
