8/4/2009 in Michael Douglas's son was arrested for a deal involving over a half pound of meth. Tom Helberg Cameron Douglas, son of Academy Award winner Michael Douglas, was arrested on July 28th on drug charges. He made bail at New York City's Metropolitan Correction Center, officials told RadarOnline.com on Tuesday. The 30-year-old actor/DJ was busted at the Gransevoort Hotel in the Meatpacking District by a DEA task force. An informant had told investigators that Douglas was the middleman in a deal to transport over eight ounces of crystal meth from California to New York to sell. Authorities barged into the messy room to find a "very strung out" Douglas, who had been staying at the hotel for sometime in a room rented by his father. It is unknown if Douglas ever received the shipment. Douglas faces serious federal drug charges. He was previously convicted on cocaine charges in 2007.
