Chris Brown said he was upset at Oprah Winfrey's lack of support and she responded.

In an interview with People magazine, Chris Brown called an episode on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" focusing on domestic violence, following his incident with Rihanna, "a slap in my face."  
  
"I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school," Brown said according to [MTV](http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1620754/20090903/brown__chris__18_.jhtml). "She could have been like more helpful, like, 'OK, I'm going to help both of these people out."  
  
Oprah Winfrey responded in a statement to [TMZ](http://www.tmz.com/2009/09/03/oprah-to-chris-brown-get-the-help-you-need/) on Thursday, saying she appreciates that he performed at her school, "but she takes domestic abuse very seriously. She hopes he gets the counseling he needs," the statement read.
