9/16/2009 in Four hidden-camera videos that exposed misconduct have encouraged Governor Schwarzenegger to take action TheCelebrityCafe.com Staff ACORN is an organization that assists low-income residents in a variety of different ways but they find themselves in hot water over four hidden-camera videos that expose a startling amount of misconduct and controversy. The videos show representatives from the organization advising an undercover volunteer prostitute and an undercover pimp on how to set up an illegal brothel. The organization's representatives explained an elaborate operation that they could perform that involved acquiring underage girls from El Salvador. ACORN clarified that the operation they proposed was illegal but they explained ways that they could get around it and not get caught. These videos were set up by independent conservative filmmaker James O'Keefe who has effectively exposed the corruption and misconduct that is taking place. According to The Miami Herald, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has contacted Democratic Attorney General Jerry Brown in an attempt to have ACORN investigated as a result of the footage he witnessed. A spokesman for ACORN has stated that the actions of the organization's employees on O'Keefe's videotape were indefensible. ACORN has announced that they are launching an independent investigation as a result of their employees' actions. The organization came under scrutiny last year with the Republican Party as a result of its controversial methods to encourage Democratic voters to submit false registration forms.
