9/29/2009 in Dr. Lightman chooses between a young woman, who may have witness a murder, and a potential Supreme Court nominee. Marjorie Quinn A young woman approaches Dr. Lightman at his book signing hoping he will see she is not lying about having a vision of a murder. He doesn't believe in psychic visions but finds the woman intriguing. Instead of helping Agent Reynolds interview a potential Supreme Court nominee, Lightman pushes off the case on Torres and undertakes the young woman's case. The young woman turns out to have multiple personalities and Lightman must find out if one of the personalities was involved in the murder. The young woman turns out to be a witness and Lightman must help her bring the killer to justice. Torres has diificulty with the court nominee because the judge has problems with her youth. Torres struggles with finding the truth in the man's lies but learns to put aside her predetermined beliefs when she uncovers the facts. Lightman's ex-wife, Zoe, quits her job to open up a law firm in Chicago. She wants to take their daughter, Emily with her. Lightman buys out Zoe's share in The Lightman Group Company so Zoe can start her own practice locally and keep Emily near.
