10/5/2009 in Sheldon tries to train Penny to be different to Leonard's dismay, Wolowitz and Rajeesh head to a Goth club in search of Goth babes Natalie Gregory I had never watched "The Big Bang Theory" until last night. What have I been doing with my life? I had wondered why the Cling-On speaking knight from "Garden State" was at the Emmy's this year. I'm talking of course of Jim Parsons who plays Sheldon, the most socially inept science buddy of the bunch. He is too fantastic. Anyway I just love the idea of a show's premise being a group of science nerds who aren't exactly pick-up artists. In episode three of the third season, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) hits it off with hottie neighbor Penny, despite the sex starting off to a sobering poor start. She starts spending more time at the apartment, much to Sheldon's dismay. In a hilarious turn of events, Sheldon tries to alter Penny's behavior into more favorable circumstances. SPOILER ALERT: Sheldon uses dog-training tactics. This made me laugh. A lot. Meanwhile, Wolowitz and Rajeesh head to a Goth club to pick up chicks while sporting eyeliner and faux tattoos. I'm rooting for the day they actually score. "The Big Bang Theory" airs Monday nights at 9:30 p.m. on CBS and is worth the awkwardness. I love them for being endearingly clueless geniuses.
