10/12/2009 in Raj might be deported, but Sheldon steps in to offer a position, Wolowitz grows a little lonely with Raj working later hours, to Penny and Leonard's chagrin Natalie Gregory Last night's "The Big Bang Theory" focused on Raj and his possible deportation for not proving the predicted compositions of trans-Neptunian objects (say that five times fast). Why did he not accomplish this? The usual modern distractions: Facebook, Twitter etc. Raj spent most of the episode lamenting his return to India, where there is no beef and "it's hot." Surprisingly, Sheldon somewhat saves the day and explains that there is a position for Raj in his department, working for him. This difference (working with versus working for) is the cause of a few very hilarious conversations between Sheldon and Raj, inspiring conditions and protestations, which are repeatedly rejected by Sheldon. With the absence of Raj around the apartment due to working late hours with Sheldon, Wolowitz gets a little lonely; most of his outings require Raj as partner in crime. Unfortunately for Penny and Leonard, he turns into their third wheel. Alas, Raj can stay, after proving his mathematical abilities to Sheldon, who does not admit he's wrong, but concedes that Raj was right.
