11/13/2009 in The Atlanta Rapper sentenced to 12 months for probation violation. Justin Key Hip-Hop goes through its trends. Baggy pants, bling-bling, walking it out, etc, etc, etc. It seems like, however, the latest is a bit extreme: getting arrested. Following in the footsteps of T.I. and Lil Wayne, rapper Gucci Mane has been sentenced to 12 months in prison for probation violation. Really, Gucci Mane? You mean you got a second chance and you're *still* going to jail? Back in 2005, Mane pleaded guilty to assault for attacking a nightclub promoter. Last September he went to jail for failing to complete his 600 hours of community service (read: being lazy). He was released in March. Ironically, Mane's new album, set to hit stores Dec. 8, is called *The State vs. Radric Davis*. The cover is a picture of him in a prison jumpsuit and handcuffs. He planned all of this, didn't he? In the meantime, two of the album's singles (*Spotlight* featuring Usher and *Wasted* featuring Plies) have become a hit. So you might not see Gucci Mane on the street in the upcoming months, but you can definitely find him on your radio.
