Until his trial, set for January 12, he is free on $100,000 bond. The Chicago insurance man was charged after allegations arose that he made tapes of Andrews while she was nude in various hotel rooms. According to investigators, he took video of the ESPN reporter through the peephole in her room's door. After making the videos, Barrett allegedly attempted to sell his footage to TMZ.com. When this did not work, he posted the videos online by himself. If convicted, Barrett could spend up to five years in federal prison. For now, U.S. Magistrate Judge Carolyn Turchin has demanded that Barrett remain on house arrest under electronic monitoring and forbidden him from using the Internet.
