Busy writing new material, Jemina Pearl takes a breath in between tour dates.

Keeping up with one Jemina Pearl is getting to be a full time job these days. The 22 year old former Be Your Own Pet singer is getting busy and moving with a pretty fast and famous crowd.  
  
When not off touring in support of her solo effort "Break It Up," released earlier this year, she can be found in the company of Sonic Youth's, Thurston Moore. The two recorded their own rendition of the Ramones' "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker" for the television series, Gossip Girl. By the way, she just returned from a gig on the 25th with Sonic Youth at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY.A few days before that, it was Miami and a Diesel party. Pearl has been blogging and mentions she is excited about new songs she and boyfriend John Eatherly have been writing together.  
  
They also stopped by [Spin Magazine](http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid52516006001?bclid=52470144001&bctid=52562085001) to perform her Iggy Pop duet, "I Hate People," along with "D Is For Danger," "Undesirable," and "Heartbeats."  
  
When she's not waxing on Dennis Hopper, she's a horror movie buff and digs those Ebay deals. SWEET! Meanwhile, Pearl promises new tour dates on her Myspace page soon.
