12/5/2009 in Ray Romano returns to TV with a new sitcom Allison Manchel Ray Romano has a new sitcom on TNT, "Men of a Certain Age," but it wasn't easy to get back into the television business after his hit show "Everybody Loves Raymond" ended in 2005 after nine years. Romano is the creative force behind "Men of a Certain Age," which follows the lives of three middle-aged men. Romano revealed that he was a little nervous about what kind of reception his new show will receive from viewers. "There are so many things I'm worried about. Will people watch? What will people think of me in this role? What if it doesn't get picked up? What if it does get picked up and we've got do another season? There's no winning. There's only less losing," Romano said in an interview with the [LA Times](http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/la-ca-certain-age6-2009dec06,0,3562049.story). Another thing that worries Romano is whether or not the viewers will be able to see him as a different character than he was in "Everybody Loves Raymond." Romano and Mike Royce, who helped create and produce "Men of a Certain Age," say they got the idea for the show about five months after "Raymond" ended. Neither Romano nor Royce wanted to retire, so they decided to come up with a new show. "Men of a Certain Age" focuses on three characters, Joe (Ray Romano), Owen (Andre Baugher), and Terry (Scott Bakula), and will air on Mondays on TNT.
