12/7/2009 in Like Domino's Pizza, American Family Insurance has withdrawn its support for MTV's reality show "Jersey Shore." Shamira Fowler Guess Domino really had an effect. American Family Insurance has followed in the footsteps of the pizza giant and pulled its sponsorship from MTV's reality show "Jersey Shore." The insurance company noticed their ads running during the premiere episode of the MTV reality show last week and immediately called the network to make sure it doesn't happen again, [TMZ.com](http://www.tmz.com/2009/12/07/jersey-shore-scares-off-another-sponsor/) reports. A rep for the insurance company told the site, "Since our relationship with MTV was in its final days, we took the simple and prudent step of asking MTV to not air any more...promos during 'Jersey Shore' reruns over the weekend. MTV stated they would comply with the request." Domino's Pizza even put out word to its media buyers to [withdraw support](http://www.tmz.com/2009/12/05/dough-dominos-pulls-out-of-jersey-shore/) as soon as possible from the beach-and-party show. Apparently the episode "outraged" one major Italian group. The "Shore" is getting quite a bit of [criticism](http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/07/business/media/07reality.html) from the National Italian American Foundation, as well as local citizens of Seaside Heights, New Jersey, where the show takes place, for its promotion of the guido and guidette stereotype.
