Ingrid Bergquist The man who allegedly robbed Julie Newmar pleaded not guilty to grand theft, announced [TMZ](http://www.tmz.com/2009/12/10/alleged-catwoman-thief-pleads-not-guilty/). Robert Ouriel was accused of stealing $25,000 worth of jewelry from Newmar in 2008. The case had been open until Newmar saw her stolen items on eBay and notified the police. The police said the 76-year-old actress was acquainted with the suspect. Ouriel, 48 years old, was tracked down using his eBay account, which connected him to the stolen jewelry. He allegedly sent the jewels to a pawn shop in Illinois, where they listed the sale online. Ouriel was arrested but remained free on a $50,000 bail. If convicted, Ouriel could serve up to three years in prison. Newmar played Catwoman on the 1966 "Batman" television series. The actress has one child, who is deaf and has Down Syndrome. She was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease in 2008. She is currently working on writing three books.
