12/12/2009 in On this week's episode of "Little People, Big World," everyone learned something about themselves. Most of the episode revolved around a conference Amy attended in Florida. To begin the episode, Amy helped Zach make macaroni and cheese. She wanted to help him, because she thought it was important for the kids to know how to cook now that she was going to be traveling more. Then Amy prepared for her trip. At this conference, they were going to raise money for college scholarships for low-income kids. She was a key-note speaker. When she was preparing for her trip, she asked Molly to put her step stool away in the kitchen. Reluctantly and slowly, Molly finally did. Amy then said she did not think she was good at public speaking, but she had "something to say," so she was working at improving on it. Amy then left for her trip. When she first arrived there, she volunteered with Habitat for Humanity because she had a lot of free time during her conference. Amy could tell the Habitat supervisor had a little hesitant with her height at first, but it all worked out okay. Amy was able to do the small-spaced jobs, like working underneath the cabinets. In the end, the supervisor said she did great. Amy said that from this experience she wanted to encourage more little people to not hesitate to volunteer.
