12/12/2009 in Michelle Duggar has her 19th baby, and an emergency C-section. Morgan Ribar Michelle Duggar, the baby producing machine, gave birth to her 19th baby prematurely, yesterday evening. Duggar suffered from a rare pregnancy disorder that caused her high blood pressure. The condition is called preeclampsia, and affects 5 to 8 percent of all pregnancies, People Magazine reports. Michelle was admitted into the University of Arkansas of Medical Sciences due to pain she was having in her gall bladder. Dr. Paul Wendel took charge of her and made the decision to give her an emergency C-section. "The obstetrical and neonatal teams reached the collaborative decision \[Thursday\] that Mrs. Duggar needed an emergency C-section to ensure the blood pressure problem would not be detrimental to her or the baby," Wendel explained to People. Josie Brooklyn, born last night at 6:27 p.m., was 1lb., 6 oz. and joins 18 other children! The Duggar's are most famous for their brood of children and their desire to keep having more children. Their lives are portrayed on "18 Kids and Counting" that airs on TLC. The show chronicles the lives of the Duggars and their quest for each of their kids to grow up well-rounded and happy.
