3/30/2006 in United 93, the heroic feature film will headline the Tribecca Film Festival Trevor Dye A narrative of the events of the hijacked September 11th flight that crashed outside of Shanksville, Pennsylvania, United 93 will have its premiere on the opening night of the Tribecca film festival, April 25th. The event will be very emotional as the families of those lost on United Airline flight 93 will be in attendance, along with other 9/11 groups, family organizations, and first responders. Paul Greengrass (Bloody Sunday, The Bourne Supremacy) directed the Universal Pictures / StudioCanal feature film which recreates the entire event from takeoff to crash. The movie aims to honor the legacy of the heroic strangers who band together with the goal of saving lives. The film will be released in theaters on Friday, April 28th. United 93 is an ideal headliner for the festival, which was founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff as a response to the attacks on the World Trade Center.
