Every year, companies compete for that coveted 30 second commercial seen by millions on the Super Bowl. They pull out all the stops (not to mention dish out a lot of dough) for the opportunity for their clip to be played.
For Super Bowl XLI, Doritos plans to break the mold with a competition where film makers wear all the hats for their very own spot on a Doritos Super Bowl commercial for the first time in Super Bowl history, according to crashthesuperbowl.com. Entrants will script, shoot, produce, direct, edit and star in a tasteful and short commercial.
The action heats up for the Playoffs on Jan. 1st. Sixteen videos will be played with the top five finalists winning a cash prize of $10,000 and a Super Bowl viewing party in Miami. The nail biting continues when the top five is voted on by America and the winner gets played during the broadcast of Super Bowl XLI!
