Scary Spice says that Eddie Murphy definitely is the father of her unborn child.

Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown was surprised to hear the comments Eddie Murphy made about their relationship and unborn child. The 31-year-old singer didn't even know that their relationship was over until she received messages from friends following Murphy's interview on the Dutch TV show *RTL Boulevard*. In the interview, the 45-year-old actor responded to a question about his relationship with Scary Spice saying, "You're being presumptuous because we're not together anymore. And I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn't jump to conclusions, sir." Brown was on a plane flying from England to Los Angeles at the time of the interview. She told the media, "I am obviously upset and distressed at some of the comments made by Eddie Murphy to the media. I was astonished by what Eddie said - there is absolutely no question that Eddie is the father. My main concern is to concentrate on the well being of my daughter and baby."  
  
Earlier in the week, Brown seemed happy in her relationship with Murphy. She said, "We're in love...I can't wait to spend Christmas with him, and I can't wait to have his baby." Apparently, at the time, Brown was unaware that Murphy was dating film producer Tracey Edmonds, who told the media at the *Dreamgirls* premiere in New York on Monday that she and Murphy had been dating for a month and a half.
