John Mayer spoke about his relationship with Jessica Simpson to Ryan Seacrest.

For months now there have been rumors of Jessica Simpson and John Mayer being a couple. The speculation ended yesterday when Ryan Seacrest questioned Mayer about his relationship with the 26-year-old "Newlyweds" star on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards while reporting for E!. The 29-year-old musician responded in Japanese. Afterwards he said to Seacrest, "Find a Japanese person and decode it. Subtitle it. Then you'll have your answer." E! did just that and found the translation which was, "She's a lovely woman, and I'm glad to be with her." Following the Grammy broadcast, the couple headed to the Sony BMG party where they showed some PDA. Us Weekly asked her father, Joe Simpson, about the relationship. He jokingly responded with, "I'm answering in the father's language, which is 'No comment.'"
