Jess Boettger *Saw IV* will begin production in April, the fourth installment in the horror franchise which has grossed over $400 million worldwide. Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures hope to release the film October 26. The *Saw* franchise has been hugely successful. The third installment of the series was the top-grossing horror flick of 2006. The series follows the murderous games of the serial killer Jigsaw, whose self-professed purpose is to make lost souls appreciate the life they've been given. Darren Lynn Bousman, who directed the first three *Saw*s, returns to direct the latest installment. After *Saw IV*, Bousman will team up again with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures for a horror opera entitled *Repo! The Genetic Opera*. Bousman will direct the production from the original story by Terrance Zdunich and Darren Smith. Set in the near future, the story depicts a worldwide organ failure epidemic which spurs a biotech company to start an organ-financing program-complete with a clause on repossession. Bousman has been planning a big screen adaptation of *Repo!* for years.
